Former Typhoon represents CANADA at the Winter Olympics

Feb. 15, 2026

The Cornwall Girls Hockey Association is proud to celebrate one of our own — Courtney Sarault.

Courtney played one season with the Cornwall Typhoons Peewee B team during the 2011-2012 season under Coach Marc Gibeau. Today, at 25 years old, she is representing Canada on the world stage in short track speed skating.

At the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Courtney captured a bronze medal in the women’s 500m and earned silver in both the mixed team relay and the 1,000m short track— an incredible achievement that reflects years of dedication and hard work.

From her time as a Typhoon to becoming an Olympic medalist, Courtney’s journey inspires the next generation of athletes in our association. We are incredibly proud to call her a former Typhoon and celebrate her outstanding accomplishments.

On behalf of our Cornwall Typhoons, CONGRATULATIONS!
