The OWHA (Ontario Women's Hockey Association) is implementing Hockey Canada’s "The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture" program for the 2026-27 season to enhance safety and promote a positive culture. This initiative introduces mandatory, age-appropriate online training for coaches, officials, and parents to address bullying, abuse, and harassment, replacing older educational models
 
If you have not completed a Respect in Sport course, will need to take the new Shift Forward course.
 
If you have completed the Respect in Sport course, it will be valid until the end of the 2027 - 2028 season. Parents and coaches should check the OWHA website for specific, localized instructions on accessing the training modules.
